Bedford/Shelbyville: Abatement Order Issued On Criminal House

A joint investigation conducted by the 17th Judicial District Drug Task Force, Shelbyville Police Department, and the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office during 2022–2026, revealed repeated and recurring criminal activity occurring at or associated with the residence located at 812 Brookhaven Circle, Shelbyville, Bedford County, Tennessee.

The investigation conducted by law enforcement has revealed a repeated pattern of criminal activity occurring at or associated with this residence, including but not limited to the possession, use, and distribution of controlled substances, assaults, domestic disturbances, breaches of the peace, and other incidents requiring repeated law enforcement intervention. Numerous individuals associated with the residence have been arrested for criminal offenses, traffic stops involving individuals traveling to or from the residence have resulted in the seizure of controlled substances, and law enforcement officers have responded to the property on multiple occasions for disturbances, assaults, and other criminal activity. These repeated incidents demonstrate that the property is being used in a manner that endangers the safety and welfare of the surrounding community and constitutes a Public Nuisance under the laws of the State of Tennessee.
Records show that between 2022 and the present, law enforcement has responded to 812 Brookhaven Circle, approximately 36 times for incidents, including disturbances, assaults, narcotics activity, welfare checks, and one overdose death. During this time, a total of 42 arrests have been made from this residence.
On June 12th, 2026, members of the 17th Judicial Drug Task Force, the Shelbyville Police Department, and the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office executed an abatement order on this residence. This includes the removal of any persons and padlocking the residence, as it has been deemed a public nuisance.
All local law enforcement partners will continue to work together to ensure our citizens, community, and neighborhoods are safe and maintain a proactive approach to combating criminal activity in our community
