While executing a search warrant in April 2026 as part of an investigation into the illegal sale and distribution of narcotics in the City of Lebanon, investigators discovered two vehicles with altered VINs.
With assistance from the Tennessee Highway Patrol Criminal Investigations Division, investigators determined that both vehicles had been reported stolen in Ohio and Texas. A separate investigation into the stolen vehicles was then launched with support from THP CID.
Our department worked alongside FBI SWAT, Tennessee Department of Corrections, THP CID, and the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office to execute search warrants at multiple properties across Middle Tennessee.
Investigators seized seven vehicles in total, each of which had modified VINs. Six of the seven vehicles were confirmed stolen. Investigators determined the vehicles had been stolen from Tennessee, New York, Texas, and Ohio.
During a search warrant at a property on Burford Road in Lebanon, investigators also discovered a stolen firearm.
To date, nine individuals have been arrested following the return of 32 indictments by a grand jury. The indictments include charges related to felony vehicle theft, conspiracy, theft of firearms, and other offenses.
