Rutherford/Murfreesboro: Dine To Donate Event For Rutherford County Sheriff's Office Thursday 7-16

 Support Sheriff’s SCAN, Cadets and Sheriff’s Citizens Academy at Texas Roadhouse

Residents may enjoy a meal next Thursday at Texas Roadhouse where the restaurant will donate 10 percent of the meal to Sheriff’s Office activities for senior citizens, teens and citizens.

The event kicks off at 2 p.m. where Sheriff’s deputies will participate in a rib eating contest with Murfreesboro Police Department officers and Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services paramedics.

Competitors will be judged on how fast they can eat four ribs.

Ten percent of the food purchases between 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Texas Roadhouse at 116 John R. Rice Blvd. will be donated to the Sheriff’s Senior Citizens Awareness Network to help senior citizens, the Cadets for teens to learn about law enforcement and the Sheriff’s Citizens Academy for residents to learn about Sheriff’s Office operations.
