On Friday, June 5, 2026, investigators with the Narcotics Division of the Warren County Sheriff's Office appeared before the Warren County Grand Jury and presented evidence related to illegal drug trafficking activities that occurred during an extensive investigation. As a result of that testimony, the Grand Jury returned indictments against 42 individuals on charges involving the sale and distribution of methamphetamine, cocaine, and other illegal narcotics.
Earlier today, investigators and deputies with the Warren County Sheriff's Office began executing arrest warrants on those indicted by the Grand Jury. At the time of this release, 28 of the 42 indicted individuals have been taken into custody and are being processed at the Warren County Jail. One search warrant was issued and served at a residence on White Street that resulted in officers locating a large amount of methamphetamine, three (3) firearms and cash, leading to additional charges being filed.
Sheriff Jackie D. Matheny, Jr. praised the efforts of his Narcotic Division in the operation.
“Since the creation of our Narcotics Division, our investigators have conducted numerous successful operations targeting the distribution of fentanyl, methamphetamine and other dangerous narcotics throughout our community. Specifically, fentanyl and methamphetamine continue to devastate families and claim lives across our nation. It is imperative that we do everything within our power to remove these drugs from our streets and hold those who distribute it accountable.
I am extremely proud of the dedication, professionalism, and persistence displayed by our Narcotics Division and all personnel involved in this operation. They remain committed to protecting the citizens of Warren County and combating the criminal activity that threatens the safety and quality of life of our community.
Our message to drug dealers is simple: if you choose to traffic illegal drugs in Warren County, we will pursue you relentlessly. Today, tomorrow, and every day thereafter, we will continue working to identify, investigate, and arrest those who profit from addiction and place our citizens at risk. Our goal is not to achieve a certain number of arrests—it is to make Warren County a safer place for every family who calls it home."
