Rutherford/La Vergne: Operation Safe Streets June 13

The La Vergne Police Department is excited to announce that Operation Safe Streets on June 13, 2026, and we need your input to make it as effective as possible.

Operation Safe Streets is a focused enforcement and traffic safety initiative designed to address concerns directly affecting our neighborhoods. Officers will be targeting traffic violations, speeding, reckless driving, and other roadway safety issues identified by our community.
Our mission is to enhance public safety through proactive policing and community engagement. Rather than simply reacting to problems, Operation Safe Streets allows us to identify concerns before they lead to crashes, injuries, or other incidents. By focusing our efforts where citizens are experiencing issues, we can better serve our community and improve quality of life throughout La Vergne.
This initiative works best when the community is involved. You know your neighborhoods, streets, and daily traffic patterns better than anyone. Whether it's speeding through residential areas, stop sign violations, dangerous intersections, or reckless driving, your feedback helps us deploy resources where they are needed most.
We encourage all residents to participate in our Operation Safe Streets Citizen Survey and tell us where you are seeing traffic and roadway safety concerns.
Your input will help us identify problem areas, direct enforcement efforts, and make our streets safer for everyone. The more information we receive from the community, the more effectively we can address the issues that matter most to you.
