The Lebanon Police Department continues a multi-agency investigation focused on dismantling a vehicle theft ring.
With support from the Tennessee Highway Patrol’s Criminal Investigations Division, the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, our Special Operations Division executed search warrants at four residences in the Lebanon/Wilson County area, as well as a residence in the 9400 block of Clarksville Highway in the Whites Creek community of Davidson County.
During today’s operation, officers recovered multiple stolen vehicles, including two GMC Sierras reported stolen out of Texas and Ohio, along with a stolen Polaris Slingshot. Investigators also uncovered evidence related to the alteration and falsification of vehicle identification numbers (VINs).
Today’s operation stemmed directly from efforts during a previous multi-agency search warrant operation conducted on April 23, led by the Lebanon Police Department, as part of this ongoing vehicle theft investigation.
The investigation originally began on April 16 after officers located stolen vehicles with altered VINs while executing multiple search warrants related to the illegal sale and distribution of narcotics within the City of Lebanon.
This remains an active and complex investigation, with charges pending. Additional details cannot be released at this time.
