The Connected Community 5K returns on Saturday, May 9, 2026, bringing Shelbyville and Bedford County together for a morning of movement, connection, and community impact.
This
family-friendly event welcomes everyone to run, walk, or roll while
supporting education and community initiatives that benefit Bedford
County Schools and our community. The Connected Community 5K is designed
for all ages and abilities! Whether you’re an experienced runner, a
first-time participant, or simply want to be part of something positive
in our community.
The
course features some of Shelbyville’s most recognizable locations,
including the Historic Shelbyville Square and The Big Oval, creating a
race experience that is both meaningful and memorable.
By
participating, you’re not just crossing a finish line you’re helping
strengthen the connection between families, schools, and the community.
