Scammers using the name of Sgt. Zach Campbell left a message for a resident asking him to call about a “sensitive matter.”
Fortunately, the resident called the Sheriff’s Office first to check the accuracy of the message.
Sgt. Campbell and other deputies do not call residents.
If people call back, the scammer usually scares the person into giving them money for a false scenario such as missing jury duty with threats of going to jail.
Please do not return these calls.
Simply hang up if you answer the phone or don’t return the call.
