MATCH (McMinnville Action to Create Housing) is pleased to invite all McMinnville and Warren County residents to a free screening of Beyond The Bridge: A Solution to Homelessness. The film will start at 6:00 PM at the Park Theater in downtown McMinnville on Thursday, January 22, 2026.
To
promote collaboration and raise awareness, MATCH will host a Town Hall
Meeting immediately following the film. The film highlights positive
solutions from the producers' 40,000-mile trek across America,
documenting community action and collaborative approaches to
homelessness.
Brad
Durham, president of MATCH, said, “The producers, Don Sawyer and Tim
Hashko, will be in McMinnville for two days to share their stories of
positive solutions to homelessness. Everyone is encouraged to attend the
free screening of Beyond The Bridge and to participate in the Town Hall
Meeting immediately after the film.”
Beyond
The Bridge has been screened in over 50 cities, and the producers have
250 requests to screen the film in 2026. The central theme of the
documentary film is how successful collaboration in a city develops
permanent supportive housing—an evidence-based solution to homelessness.
Mayor Ryle
Chastain and County Executive Terry Bell will be two of the individuals
on the Town Hall Panel after the film. Other members of the Town Hall
Panel include Mark Farley, Executive Director of U.C.D.D &
U.C.H.R.A.; Sheila Fann, Executive Director of H.O.M.E.; and Neal
Kelley, Regional President of Saint Thomas Ascension Hospital.
Tickets are free, and the public is encouraged to reserve tickets on the Park Theater website: https://mcminnvilleparktheater.com/tickets/
