On June 12th, 2025, K9 Officer John Fesmire observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Jefferson Pike and attempted to stop it. The vehicle eventually stopped at a nearby business, where the male suspect fled on foot into a wooded area. While officers were actively searching, a female exited the business and claimed ownership of the vehicle that fled from police. She then provided false information regarding the male suspect’s identity. Through further investigation, officers discovered her true connection to the suspect and located drug paraphernalia on her person. She was taken into custody and charged with resisting, possession of Schedule III drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, and entering a penal facility with contraband.
Fesmire, and several other officers later went to a residence where they believed the male suspect was hiding. After a brief conversation, the suspect exited the home and was taken into custody without incident. He was charged with felony evading, evading on foot, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving on a revoked license.
