The
Bedford Opioid Abatement Grant program has established a "brown bag"
program to educate parents and families about substance abuse. Each bag
includes a dose of Narcan mist (with directions), for treating narcotics
overdose; a Bedford County Resource Guide, a Drug Rescue brochure, a
Bedford County Health Department brochure, a LifeSource Family Solutions
(mental health counseling) pamphlet, and a 9-8-8 suicide and crisis
lifeline business card.
FREE brown bags are available at Community Clinic
Shelbyville Bedford County, Inc, 200 Dover Street, Suite 202, from 8
a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Fredia Lusk, Bedford Opioid administrator, and
Shanna Gaither, assistant administrator, provided this resource from the
Narcan donation from AmeriCares and Direct Relief.
For more information or to request brown bags, email bedford-opioid@shelbyvilleclinic.org.
