Sunday evening, while investigating a possible shoplifting incident at Walmart, C-Shift officers made contact with a male and female suspected of taking items from the store.
The 31-year-old male was found to have an active failure to appear warrant. He was also in possession of suspected meth and heroin. In addition to his warrant, he was charged with simple possession and manufacture, delivery, sale, or possession of methamphetamine.
During the investigation, the female intentionally provided a false name. Officers were able to confirm her true identity, and while searching her purse, they located small plastic baggies with white powder residue along with a cut straw containing similar residue. The 37-year-old female was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal impersonation.
Both individuals were taken into custody without incident.
