Mrs. Tammy Crane has been named as the district’s new Attendance Supervisor.
She will replace current WCS Attendance Supervisor Mr. Stan Moss, who will retire at the end of the month following an incredible nearly 30-year-career at WCS, and 35 overall in education.
Mrs. Crane has been with WCS for three decades and has served in a variety of roles such as: Athletic Director, Section 504 Coordinator, Homebound Coordinator, Attendance Coordinator and the Court Liaison.
“As the Attendance Supervisor, I hope to enhance student engagement and academic success by fostering a positive attendance culture,” says Mrs. Crane. “By collaborating with staff, families, and the community, I aim to create an environment where attendance is prioritized, ultimately leading to improved outcomes for all students.”
Director of Schools Jeff Luttrell made the announcement this week saying, “With Mrs. Crane having very close knowledge and valuable experience within the Attendance Department, we looked at this as a perfect fit for everyone. She’s excited about the opportunity and we will support her throughout the process to ensure a smooth transition.”
“When it comes to Mr. Moss, he has been such a dedicated and caring employee in the district for many years,” added Mr. Luttrell. “His work within the Attendance Department has been appreciated very much and we wish him the absolute best in his upcoming and well-deserved retirement!”
